Welcome to Ripon Little League's Web Site
Detailed information about playing little league is found under Leagues-General Information
Thanks to the many parents who volunteer their time to coach, work the concession stand, or to serve on the board every summer hundreds of boys and girls enjoy time at Ripon's beautiful ball parks. When playing in games, coaching, or attending as a spectator, please follow the Ripon Little League Code of Ethics.
Ripon Little League Code of Ethics-
We are all members of Ripon Little League. Players, coaches, and family make the league complete. The main goals of Ripon Little League are to teach baseball skills, rules, and strategies in order to have fun. Ethically, our responsibility is to encourage fair play with 100% effort, sportsmanship, and respect of others.
As coaches, we must reinforce good qualities and try to correct poor ones while staying POSITIVE. We must be fair to all kids, including our own. Conflicts will arise with umpires, other coaches, and kids. They must be handled with self-control and dignity, quietly and privately. We have all seen the spirit of an entire game ruined by a coach berating a player or arguing with an umpire.
As family, we go to the games to support our kids. To see them have fun with their friends, learning to play good ball. When you see a good play made, whether it was your child’s team or the other team, let them know it! By realizing that most of our kids won’t grow up to be pros and that the coaches are just moms and dads who love baseball, we can all watch and enjoy the games in a POSITIVE way.
As players, it’s simple. Always play your best. Always play by the rules. Compliment your teammates and opponents when they play good ball. Respect your parents, coaches, umpires, and other players. Remember that it’s a game. Be POSITIVE and have fun.
Let's play ball and have a great summer of 2008! |
